Summary

The Boland’s Centre in Cairns, a heritage-listed relic from the early 1900s, recently  underwent restorative works by Collins Constructions to preserve its historic charm and  structural integrity. Working within the framework of a building over a century old presented a  unique challenge compared to our usual modern and innovative office projects. This  experience highlighted the evolution of construction techniques and technology over time.  Restoring this piece of local history was a rewarding endeavor, allowing us to honor the past  while appreciating the craftsmanship of a bygone era.
